MANOS DE DIOS SURF RETREAT was built with a simple vision: to create an intimate oceanfront destination where world-class surfing, exceptional hospitality, authentic culture, and meaningful connection come together in one unforgettable week.

Located in the peaceful fishing village of Playa Astillero on Nicaragua’s Emerald Coast, our boutique retreat was intentionally designed to be different from a traditional surf camp. Rather than hosting a constant flow of guests, we welcome one group each week, creating a relaxed atmosphere where friendships grow naturally, and every guest receives personalized attention.

With only six oceanfront rooms, every stay feels private, peaceful, and exclusive. Wake each morning to panoramic Pacific views, spend your days exploring incredible waves, and finish each evening watching the sunset with friends over a chef-prepared meal.

What truly makes MANOS DE DIOS SURF RETREAT unique is its location. While many surf destinations require long drives to reach quality waves, our guests enjoy beginner-friendly surf directly in front of the retreat, a nearby river-mouth break just a short walk away, and boat access from our beachfront to more than a dozen world-class surf breaks within minutes.

Beyond the surfing, we invite our guests to experience the authentic beauty of Nicaragua. Playa Astillero is a working fishing village where you’ll discover genuine local culture, warm hospitality, and a slower pace of life that can’t be recreated inside a traditional resort.
